Snow takes over Qingyuan
China Resources Snow Breweries announced yesterday that it had acquired an 85% stake in Fujian's Quanzhou Qingyuan Beer, the Beijing Times reports. The deal, worth 72 million yuan, is an answer to the acquisition of Sedrin, another Fujian brewery, by InBev for 5.886 billion yuan. The remaining 15% is held by the Quanzhou Farlim Group. CR Snow said that it will invest an additional 65 million yuan in Qingyuan to expand annual capacity from 118,000 kiloliters to 280,000 kiloliters. CR Snow has the backing of SAB Miller as its international partner. Link: http://bjt.net.cn/news.asp?newsid=137068
