99Bill Corporation, the leading payment service provider and the first company in China offering email and mobile phone number based online payment platform and solutions, recently announced the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with Sohu.com, Inc., China's premier internet company, to jointly launch the Sohu-99Bill joint-account payment service. Under this agreement, Sohu users will be able to quickly and conveniently access the fast and secured payment services offered by 99Bill, such as internet and mobile phone payment, and enjoy the rich and value-added interactive services over the web. The Sohu-99Bill joint-account is the most convenient, secured and efficient payment option that Sohu has provided to its users for online payment since July. With this account, users can easily recharge Fox coins (a virtual coin issued by Sohu) in real time and can purchase Sohu's value-added services and products. Gong Yu, Senior Vice-President of Sohu.com, Inc. stated that the launch of Sohu-99Bill joint-account services provides Sohu users greater convenience and security. Comparing to other online payment tools, 99Bill users only need an email address or a mobile phone number to accomplish online or wireless payment, without disclosing any important personal information, such as the user's bank account or bank card number to other parties.
