Sony Ericsson aiming for third
Sony Ericsson is aiming to increase its market share to rank third on the mainland by 2008, and is increasing the pace at which it introduces new models, China Business News reports. The mobile phone giant has brought eleven models to China this year, equivalent to the total number released in all of 2005. Six of these are entirely new. Sony Ericsson has also recruited Wang Shanqi, VP of NEC's marketing department, to work directing marketing for the company. Though the new models span the low, mid, and high end of the market, Sony will still place much of its focus on the high end this year, with Walkman and CyberShot-based handsets.Link: http://dycj.ynet.com/article.jsp?oid=7885892
