Sport boosts Golden Week retailing
A string of international sport events helped boost Shanghai’s retail sales by 20% during the weeklong National Day break, the Shanghai Financial News reported, citing the city’s economic commission. Sport sales at 425 retailers surveyed jumped 20.5% year-on-year to US$679.09 million (RMB5.1 billion) from October 1 to 7 from the same period last year, the Shanghai Economic Commission said in a report. ...
