Summer yields bumper grain harvest
China’s summer grain harvest climbed 1.9% to 232.17 billion tons – the first time grain production grew for four years in a row since 1985, China Economy reported. Ministry of Agriculture figures show wheat production grew 1.6% to 206.13 billion tons, including a record yield of 382 kilograms per mu (666.667 square meters).
