Taiwan exports to the Mainland increases

Taiwan’s Council for Economic Planning and Development released statistics that Taiwan’s exports to China and Hong Kong have grown by 39.4 percent in the first half, Taipei Times reported. Taiwan's trade surplus with China and Hong Kong amounted to US$29.41 billion during the six-month period, marking 17.3 percent year-on-year growth, said the paper. Imports from China and Hong Kong spiked 15.5 percent and the ratio of imports from the two areas advanced to 12.6 percent of the total.
