TCL Communications has restructured its management, replacing the general manager of its Chinese operations center in order to improve its operating conditions on the Chinese mainland, China Business News reports. The move transfers Du Xiaopeng out of his position as head of Chinese operations, replacing him with his subordinate, Huang Wanquan. Since the move has just been decided, it is unclear what position Du currently holds. According to a source with the company, the company's strategy for Chinese operations will shift toward an emphasis on key regions and investments.TCL will reportedly introduce 15 new mobile phone models to mainland China in the first half of the year, with a total of 46 new models to appear before year-end.
