TCL's mobile phone R&D centers in France, Shanghai, and Shenzhen will be unified under a new wholly-owned subsidiary, Chinese Business News reports. The JATX company, registered in Shenzhen, will be responsble for R&D work for the TCL and Alcatel brands. In an associated reorganization, TCL's six large sales operations - Europe, America, strategic OEM, TCL International, TCL China, and Alcatel - will be self-governing, and TCL's headquarters in Huizhou will become the manufacturing center for both TCL and Alcatel phones as R&D moves to Shenzhen.
