Foreign efforts to conquer Chinese consumers are a major talking point in China’s rapidly growing retail market. But as Economic Information Daily reports, regional Chinese retailers suffer just as much as their foreign counterparts when it comes to conquering other regions and building national brands. Hypermarkets may also have passed their best before date.
