China's tourism revenue totaled 223.3 billion yuan during the weeklong National Day holiday through October 7, up 21.2% from the same period of a year ago, the China National Tourism Administration said. The tourism market received 428 million people during the 7-day period, up 15.1% from a year earlier. Spending per tourist was 521 yuan. Of the 223.3 billion yuan, 8.25 billion yuan came from aviation passenger services, 3.08 billion yuan from railway passenger services, 79.6 billion yuan from 39 major cities and 132.4 billion yuan from other cities and tourist attractions.
