WangYou Media, a leading cross-media entertainment services provider in China focused on user-generated content (UGC), funded by Charles River Ventures, announce in a statement today that it has established a strategic partnership with China's top search engine Baidu.com  in development and promotion of Web-based multi-media content. Under the partnership, Beijing-based WangYou Media has agreed to syndicate a rich pool of multi-media content including user-generated film clips, short video series and entertainment programs to Baidu.com, China's largest and most popular search engine, to help enrich the latter's offerings on its specialized movie channel and meet the rising demand for entertaining content online from the young generation of Internet users. The two leading Internet services providers have also agreed to explore further opportunities to cooperate on content development and joint services promotion through various platforms operated by Baidu.com and WangYou Media's entertainment site wangyou.com.
