Yongle revealed yesterday that it had signed an agreement with Shanda to market digital home entertainment systems developed by the Internet portal, National Business Daily reports. According to Yongle spokesperson Huang Jianping, the agreement places Shanda's EZ Pod in Yongle's dozen Shanghai electronics retail outlets. Should sales at Yongle reach a certain level, then Shanda and Yongle may enter into additional sales agreements. Huang said that the agreement includes specifications for profit-sharing, but he did not reveal any details. Yongle is not seeking profit in the initial stages of the promotion; it is packaging the unit with bonus products, and has marked the price at 298 yuan, 30% below the current average elsewhere in the market. The company predicts that it will sell 10,000 units in the next three months, a sales volume that will be assisted by Yongle's expansion of the promotion to other cities in the Yangtze delta region after the Spring Festival.Link: http://www.nbd.com.cn/admin/module/news/newsFile/2006126224815.htm
