3G is an International Telecommunications Union specification for the third generation mobile communications technology. Analysys International has released a report on July 17, estimating China's first round of investment on 3G equipments will reach USD 1.25 billion to 2.5 billion. The coming of 3G will bring strong impact on the overall telecom market in China, from manufacturers to telecom operators. Every link of this industry chain will benefit from this market, including main equipments manufacturers, fiber and cable manufacturers, terminal manufacturers, system integrators and other vendors of auxiliary lines.
