A forum on China business travel currently being held in Shanghai is attracting some major hotel chains from around the globe. The participation of Intercontinental Hotel Group, Accor Hotels, Hyatt Corporation and Carlson Hotels unveils their ambitious expansion plans for the Chinese business travel market.
Tibet has developed a rich plateau culture enhanced by its Buddhist tradition. Although natural resources such as coal and oil are lacking, Tibet is rich in renewable energy reserves, particularly hydropower because water makes a significant contribution to Tibet’s sources of energy. Facing a soaring demand for energy, and with the aim of promoting its alternative energy sources, Tibet’s water sector has become a new target for development.

Both domestic and foreign aircraft makers consider China’s regional aircraft market to be of growth potential and worth developing. However, the regional aircraft market suffers from the same set of problems as other market segments that the lack of quality human resources and inadequate policies which create a bottleneck for development.
Aerospace conglomerates that have control over many listed firms, such as China Aerospace Science & Industry Corporation (CASIC) and China Aerospace Science & Technology Corporation (CASC), have announced plans to turn to the capital market and realize a full stock listing. Independent research and development as well as a listing in the financial market would lead to greater diversification and gain expanding channels of finance.
